***You will have to press pause on my music to hear this!!***
This is Reece saying their new verse, Colossians 3:12,13.
I am going to continue teaching them verses from this chapter.
They are so rich and applicable to our lives.
While I was teaching them, Reece said "ughh!, why do we have to keep saying it over and over?"
and I told them that the verse has to get into our brains and then into our hearts where it will stay forever. Later after he got it and we were walking in from the car he excitedly said, "momma, it is in my brain now!!" and then with a sad look he said "but it is not in my heart." I said, "God has to put it in your heart." I heard him in the corner of the garage say
"God, will you put it in my heart?"

"Therefore, as God's chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

THAT WAS AMAZING...you are doing it right girl!
Hey! I found your blog through various other blogs (I cannot sleep). I noticed that one of your kids is named Bubba and he looks just like :-) a boy I had in VBS at Tri-Cities Baptist church this summer.....Great blog and sweet story about teaching them the Word.
I just realized I know your parents. My oldest son is named Lake (he is 7) after my grandfather........we dont know any other Lakes.
that is amazing! your boys are going to be wonderful men of God!
How old are your boys??? My son turned 4 in March and spent last year in Awana but the verses were very short...I am amazed that your boys have learned these long verses! Obviously says a lot about you being a godly example and impressing it upon their hearts to learn God's word.
