;)
We are maximizing every minute at the beach.
I will be writing a long blog post soon (whenever I have time) about the oil spill and how devastating this is. I pretty much go to sleep crying and wake up nauseated over this.
It is unthinkable.
"You put us in charge of everything you made, giving us authority over all things-- the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents." (Ps 8: 6,8)
I am so sorry, Lord. I am so sorry for what is happening to your majestic creation. Have mercy on us.

This is the absolute cutest set of pictures...
and a too true, heartbreaking cry at the end. Have mercy on us, indeed.
So looking forward to your upcoming long post!
Gotta just love that jokester Mr. Lake. I sure got a chuckle out of him and his antics.
The pics are amazing. I'm so glad you got to spend a few weeks there before the oil. I'm just like you, I waiver between crying, screaming and just despair. I can't wrap my head around it all. Forgive us Lord. :(
Beautiful family beach pics! I pray that the beach is just as beautiful when we go in August.
Steph, Today in church we studied psalm 8 and our preacher touched on the oil situation. He talked about how upsetting it is because we were put in charge of all the animals that are being affected by our mistakes. He then told us that those people who are cleaning up the mess are getting very sick. The fact that these men are getting sick is very biblical. If you look to the cross, Jesus became "sick" to make us clean. He died as our ransom so that we wouldnt have to live and be affected by our own filth. I thought that was so cool, and how neat that just today I studied the verse you posted. Look forward to talking to you soon!
