As I dry my tears from watching that beautiful moment captured by camera, my husband and I wish your family the best and congratulate you all on your new family member.

My first thoughts after I had Emily was "Thank God that is over" and my first thought when I found out I was pregnant with TJ was " I have to do labor again". I can relate to your pain but am sorry the nurses did not prepare you or control the situation a bit more. ALso, I now cousel new moms that bonding happens in many different ways and that if you miss those first few moments all is not lost. Truly, I did not "bond" with Emily till at home, rested and recovered. Hope that helps some. Love to all. She is beautiful as are you.
