Update on my grandmother

(** Warning!
This is a stream of consciousness post FULL of grammatical insanity written by a girl doing 8 other things at the same time.)
My grandmother is out of the hospital-- YAY, GOD!! She is in a Physical Therapy In-Patient where she is having to do 3 hours a physical therapy a day to try and learn to walk again after all she went through.
She had CPR which gave her a cracked sternum, cracked ribs and a collapsed lung. She lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion. She did not move out of bed for 2 weeks so, as you can imagine, she is in a lot of pain and has a long road ahead of her. I HATE all this for her.
It has been such a blessing to walk with her, pray for her, and watch her walk through the valley of the shadow of death. She keeps saying, "Don't worry, Stephanie. We only get one day at a time. Trust the GOOD Lord."
My grandfather's health went straight down when she was hospitalized. I think it was a broken heart so he has also been in the hospital. No one wanted to tell her so we had to sneak back and forth from room to room until dad had the guts to spill the beans.
But, now, they are sharing a room in the Physical Therapy facility like two little lovebirds--- I wish! She isn't happy at all. She is in pain and feeling unable to do the therapy. Please pray for her. Hopefully, their sweet little bodies are going to strengthen and recover from all of this. That is my prayer. I cannot wait to go back home and love on them. I've been going back and forth for weeks now. It is hard to be at mom's with Hope because she doesn't sleep. I start to lose my mind with sleep-deprivation and living out of suitcases. She sleeps 1 million times better at home and the difference in my productivity is amazing. When I don't sleep, I just want to stare at the wall and every little thing overwhelms me.
I have spent the last couple of days trying to regain control of my house- organizing closets, cooking (sausage & cheese loaf, cinnamon chip cookies, taco soup) , etc..
I also legally changed Hope's name to Hope Louise which makes me want to do back handsprings! Yes, this is the 2nd child of mine that I have changed their name after birth. Both times I blame it on peer pressure... ;) Currently, everyone in my family has the correct name... or do they? ;) ha! That was the best gift to give to my grandmother!
I am taking Hope to see her soon. She wasn't able to go into ICU. Mamaw is going to eat her up and Hope may eat Mamaw up. Hope is full-steam ahead!

I got to speak at a local Christian high school to a bunch of high school girls yesterday. That was fun. I think the cute little Bible teacher about fell over when I ended it talking about how fun sex God's way is and that if they are involved in sexual sin, they need to repent. Oh well, the time is urgent to reach these girls so I take advantage of every opportunity I have to speak to a young girl.
Here is a link for those of you who may want to listen to teachings from the last conference or SHARE THEM WITH A SINGLE GIRL!!!!!!!!!!
"John 3:16- The Greatest Love Story Ever Told" Me
"Secrets of an ancient Jewish Wedding" Lisa
"How to live while I wait" Mellette
"Holiness/ Purity" Me
"Isaac and Rebekah" (Open to Gen 24 NIV if you listen to this one) Me
Just click on the link below and the teachings from the conference all say "His Proposal" in the right hand column. I would love your feedback on the teachings!
Be blessed!!
"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
Therefore encourage each other with these words."
1 Thess 4:16-18

Hi, I'm new to your blog (I found out about it when Erin on rare and beautiful treasures posted about your "love story"), and I just wanted to tell you what an encouragement it has been. I'm in Seminary, a wife and mother of 2 kids, working a dozen hours a week, serving in a church, and I'm overwhelmed!!! As I listen to the music and read your posts, I'm encouraged to dwell in God's Word, to pray that he will fill me with His love for my husband and my kids, to take the time to teach and train them in God's ways. So thank you. Blessings, Alexandra
