Truckers...

We are back from our crazy 2 day trip to New Jersey. Whew!, that was a lot of driving but we had a great time talking, laughing and singing classic rock (like Livin' on a Praaaaaaayer and Cecilia). We are livin' on prayers right now- thank you. We feel really good about this doctor. I did blood work and now we are just waiting on results so we can move forward with treatment... which will be 8 more weeks of IV antibiotics. We are hopeful. I am scared but hopeful. I felt God's hand of protection on me like the hand of an over-protective Father. I know that He is at work in my life through this and that this is part of a beautiful poem he is writing.
I was probably the healthiest one in the waiting room and there were sick little kids there. It made us realize how thankful we should be. It also reminded us that this is not heaven. Our hearts cried "Maranatha!" (which means "come quickly Lord Jesus") as we left there. This world is broken and sometimes you just get a clearer picture of the magnitude of it's brokenness. I am thankful that, as Christians, this is not our home and that we will be spending eternity in a place where there are no sick kids, no tears, NO TICKS and nothing to fear.
I really hope that I will get better and that this will just be a bad memory.
I am staying at my mom's for a while until we figure out the next step in this complicated process.
We love you and are so thankful for your friendships!!!
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
John 14:3

Thank you so much for the update. I simply can't imagine what you've gone through. To be put in your shoes, I'd be anxious, afraid, frustrated, and confused. I pray that God be your strength through this time. I'm so thankful that you are continuing to look toward Him for guidance and in faith. Please keep us updated. We will call out to Jehovah-Rophe for your healing (Ex.15:26, Jer. 30:17).

Still praying, guys. Thank you for the update.

On a different note, we find out TODAY if we will be adding to the boy population around here or not!!!

Steph, I am so sorry for al that you are going through. I have now known you for what 10/11 years? In all this time, I have watched you grow into a wonderful Christian, spirit filled woman. You have amazed me at the way you have handled your illness and continued to be such a wonderful mom to your beautiful boys. I will pray for you and for the Dr's who are treating you. I pray that by God's grace through their hands you will be healed.
I remember when you found the little church that met at the house on Kingstn Pike in the old sitting room, you were so excited to have really found God! and to see that that excitment is still there just warms my heart!
Take care of yourself,
Love and prayers,
Lori A.
