A friend of ours went to be with Jesus last night unexpectedly. Please pray for her husband, Tim, their 5 year old son, Davis and her mother, Denise. This is so tragic. May God be glorified in this and may Jesus come back for us soon to rescue us from this broken world.
Christy Davis McBryar, 37, died Thursday, September 6, 2007 of natural causes. She was an active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church. For the past 15 years Christy taught at Lookout Mountain Elementary School. She was an avid reader and education was a very important part of her life. Christy graduated from Ooltewah High School in 1988 and went on to receive her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.She was preceded in death by her dad, Bobby Davis, just last week.She is survived by her husband, Tim McBryar; son, Davis McBryar; mother, Denise Davis, all of Chattanooga; grandparents, Elmer and Christine Davis of Smyrna, Tn.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins from the middle Tennessee area.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Church of the Good Shepard, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain, Tn., with the Rev. Steve McCarey officiating. Burial will be private.The family requests memorial contributions be made to a scholarship fund at Lookout Mountain Elementary School, 321 North Bragg Avenue, Lookout Mountain, TN 37350 in memory of Christy McBryar. Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
