Life. (Updated)

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.

Psalm 139:16

**********

"Now suppose two people are fighting, and in the process, they hurt a pregnant woman so her child is born prematurely. If no further harm results, then the person responsible must pay damages in the amount the woman's husband demands and the judges approve.

But if any harm results, then the offender must be punished according to the injury. If the result is death, the offender must be executed. "

Exodus 21:22,23

following quotes are from cnn.com today...

"...And as some of you've heard me discuss before, I think abortion should remain legal -- but it needs to be safe and rare," Hillary Clinton said.

Obama -- who had sparked controversy several weeks ago when he said he would not want to see his daughters "burdened" with an unwanted child -- said it was important to "acknowledge that there is a moral dimension to abortion, which I think that all too often those of us who are pro-choice have not talked about or tried to tap down."

Obama later added: "I am a devout Christian ...

What can we do?

Get involved in your local crisis-pregnancy center and offer comfort, love and help

to those affected by this. I think one of the best things to do is host a Song of Solomon Bible Study for high school or college-age. You can buy the dvd's at http://www.songofsolomon.com/. These cds teach what the Bible says about love, sex and marriage. It is worth the money.

THERE IS HOPE AND FORGIVENESS

"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace . . ." Ephesians 1:7.
"I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins" Isaiah 43:25

Also, there is a National Memorial right here in Chattanooga where you can go and honor the life of an aborted baby. It is one of the most powerful places I have ever been. There are plaques and plaques of names of babies who have died from an abortion that is later regretted. I think it is the only place in the US like this. It is attached to AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center where you can also receive post-abortion counseling.

Here is the link...

"Across our nation, millions of mothers and fathers experience an unresolved and often undefined grief, associated with the loss of a child to abortion. This pain often increases with time and life changes. In trying to resolve their grief, some have received support of families, friends, places of worship, and through post-abortion counseling services. Most however, carry the "secret" in silence. One common need of families of aborted children is for a unique place of healing......a place where loss and grief can be shared with others who have suffered similarly....a place where the unborn can be honored and remembered in a tangible way....a place of closure. Now, there is such a place."
