The Power of the Word of God

**Pause music at bottom of the page.

I interviewed a sweet lady at the nursing home today (Sevanthood 101). She is 84 with dimentia and knows way more Scripture than me.She memorized it as a young child and still knows it. She has forgotten most things but she still knows the Word of God.

If we do nothing else for our children, we must teach them the Word of God. It will continue to teach them and comfort them for the rest of their LIVES.

Stephanie, my grandfather had Alzheimer's and even as his ten-year battle came to an end (and he had forgotten his friends, children and wife) ... he knew Jesus and could still quote scripture. People were amazed at this, but it brings to my mind, "Never will I leave you, nor will I forsake you..." You can lose every memory of your life, and still have Jesus.

What a legacy.

Thank you for sharing this :)

Hey Stephanie,

I was going back through some old posts from when Jonah was first born and I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your words of encouragement and verses of hope during that time. You were such a blessing to me, and I always looked so forward to hearing from you. I don't know if you still follow the blog or not, but I wanted to let you know that Jonah is doing well, and that I miss you. Maybe that sounds weird, but you were a friend to me then, even if I didn't know you. So... thanks. :) I hope you and your beautiful family are doing well.

In Him,
Patrice
