Fear Not! (Part 2)

I am sure the suspense of which costume I chose is killing you... ;). I was Sleeping Beauty. It was not my favorite dress but all the others have dark hair and I just didn't want to wear a wig. So, I was going to put out a cot with rose petals and be sleeping when everyone got here, but you can't really do that when you are the hostess running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I have no idea how many people were there.
**By the way, something is wrong with my blog. It jumbles my pictures and my words. The easiest way to post is to just write a big paragraph at the top. I hope it fixes itself because I don't know how to.
The party was an absolute ball. I had a girl dressed up as a cowgirl standing in the road holding a super-cute (thanks Kristi!) sign that said "Fear Not Party" and pointing everyone toward the gate on the side of our house. They walked through these really cute blue and brown striped curtains that looked circus-y to get into our back yard. We had lot of Carnival booths... Face Painting, Chicken Limbo, Pumpkin Cookie Decorating, Ring Toss, Duck Pond, Fishing Hole, 2 Ball Toss games, Mining for Toys in the Sand Box (it was full of dinosaur eggs, pirate coins, and rings), the Bean Bag toss and a Piggy Bank full of money they had to try and guess the total called Pop the Pig ($36.25 was the total for anyone who guessed!). There was also a Jumper, Popcorn Machine and Cotton Candy Machine and lemonade. Oh, and I can't forget the Hayride that went through the neighborhood! You will just have to believe me for most of these things because I hardly have any pictures. It was impossible to take pictures. I got a few but, thankfully, Val got some more for me.
There was a contest for best costume. One Winner in the adult category, one winner for the kids. There were 3 anonymous judges that decided. The adult winner won a photography session with Diana Simpson!!!!!!! Thank you so much, Diana. And the child winner won the new Veggietale DVD- The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything.
It was a very close contest for adults. The husbands did an amazing job! We had Batman, a white Globetrotter, jailbird, tooth fairy and the Hulk to name a few. The Hulk showed up a little late and scared the pee-pee out of most kids. It was hilarious though. I am not sure The Hulk got the FEAR NOT memo. ;) Just kidding, David. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was my favorite part of the party. I laughed when I was going to sleep and as soon as I woke up thinking about 'The Hulk' at the Fear Not Party.
The Tooth Fairy (who is actually a dentist!) won the adult prize and Jo Jo the clown won for the children.
Reece was Spiderman, Bubba was a giraffe (he slept in his costume because he didn't wan to take it off) and Lake was a very cute chicken. I wish you could have ALL been there. We are planning on doing it again next year. I am so tired right now that I am about to fall asleep mid-blog. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

That is Baby Benjamin! Remember, just had open-heart surgery? I love him... and his mom, Angela. They were total celebrities.

DOLLS!!!

I told you he was scary. And what a perfect Hulk? He tried to strangle Prince Charming but awoke Sleeping Beauty. Don't mess with her Prince.

The tooth fairy was hilarious! He has a wrench.
This sweet little one won the costume contest and Popped the Pig! She is one DVD and $36.25 richer!

See you next year! Same place, same time. It was so fun. Thank you to everyone who helped and everyone who came! and remember-

"FEAR NOT for I am with you." Isaiah 41:10

and...

"FEAR NOT for I have redeemed you. I have summoned you by name- YOU ARE MINE. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. The flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord Your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." Isaiah 43:1-3

Wow, I love the Hulk guy!!
He looked great and had real muscles too. Addie would have went running when he walked in. She wouldn't even get near the Scary stuff at Wal-mart.

You and your mom looked so pretty!

Looks like you guys had a great time. So sorry we missed it :(

Oh, that looks like it was so much fun! That Hulk looks eerily real! So funny! I'm sorry we had to miss! Maybe next year...

We missed Bubba this evening at Cubbies. I'm sure you were recovering from the huge party, though as well as getting ready for prayer mtg. Tell the little guy we missed him.

how fun! it looks like you guys had a great time...and i did love the sleeping beauty/prince charming costumes. :) my blog sometimes is weird about pictures, but I can fix it by going to the "edit HTML" tab and putting space (hit the 'enter' key a few times) between each photo...you should be able to figure out where the photo breaks are. hope that helps! ~leslie

this is just great! my kiddos would have loved it - maybe would have dressed up as football players ;) You guys did a wonderful job at putting on this party and the creativity is awesome! way to go! You are a lovely sleeping beauty ! :) Yesterday we were out at our property and found ourselves dreaming again... something we should really stay clear of since it's up for sale ... but, it would be such a great place for fall parties and Christmas get togethers (we've this great barn Robert built that looks like an old fashioned school house and would be great for parties... but when I saw your blog here, it really got my wheels turning... ~ will have to wait though as I'm hardly able to walk right now and keeping nothing down! but thanks for the smiles this morning here in bed - you just did a wonderful super fun job at it all :)

blessings to you!
